NurseryTeacher: Miss Studwick
Nursery Nurse: Mrs Bhatti
We develop our little pupil’s minds to see, talk about and question the world around them and we approach this with inside and out activities. Learning in the Early Years begins with social interaction with peers and adults. Learning to play and share and to develop our individuality and independence.
We carefully plan activities every day in each of the areas of learning to encourage, stimulate and challenge our Nursery children.
As well as activities taking place in the classroom and in our outdoor area, the children also take part in Forest School, computing in the ICT Suite, PE and cooking.
To find out more about our class and what activities we have been undertaking on a daily basis then please take a look at the details below. This page will be regularly updated with new material so please keep checking back for new information.

What an enjoyable day Nursery had in Forest School today.
They started their session of with a lovely mug of hot chocolate whilst sitting on the logs. Just what is needed in the cold weather.
When everyone was warm from the inside out it was time to create some magic.
What do you do with plasticine and trees? Well you make tree faces of course!!

The whole school took part in a week filled with poetry and of course Nursery took part.
Most children’s first experience of poems comes in the form of nursery rhymes, lullabies, counting games, riddles and rhymed fables that introduce us to the rhythmic, fictional uses of language in songs.
So, Miss Strudwick challenged her inquisitive learners to write a poem. They passed a teddy bear around, felt and looked at it before using a description to help to create a poem. Miss Strudwick scribed and tried to keep up with all the amazing words that Nursery threw at her.
