We are learning to be independent as well as how to make good relationships with others. We really enjoy our Phonics and Maths and we are all making great progress.
Our favourite is Forest school where we are learning about Nature as well as developing our cooperation, resilience and ability to solve problems and challenge ourselves.
We are great at coming to school every day and always make our teachers smile!

Reception class went on a trip to Wide Horizons in Eltham to go on a hunt! This was no ordinary hunt, this was a 'Bear Hunt'. They have been reading the story 'We're Going on a Bear Hunt' in class and this was to take part in an actual mission to find the bear (teddy bear). So, with wellies on and a gloriously sunny day, off we went through the swishy, swashy grass. All would agree that the best part was going through the squelchy, squerchy MUD! Then we stumbled on our sleeping bear in his cave, well hut, and we all gave him a big cuddle because we were not scared!
Nursery & Reception invited grandparents to attend school today. Tea and cakes were served before our pupils took their grandparents on a tour of the school. This was a wonderful opportunity for our pupil's extended family to come and see what a day in the life of their grandchildren involves. Some were amazed how technology plays a big part and they also saw how hard even Nursery & Recpetion pupils work and progress at Orchard.
