Moving on Assembly

After an exciting and fun summer term, we celebrated with our moving on assembly with pupils from each year group receiving awards for their achievements.

To finish off we all watched the video to see what we got up to in the months leading up to July 2016.

Year 6 performed their production of 'GREASE' as their leaving finale and what a perfomance!

For the few months leading up to the end of the summer term, Year 6, Mrs Foy and of course Mrs Petrozzi, were busy rehearsing at every opportunity to make sure the play would deliver - and it did.

Year 6 congratulations on producing an amazing version of Grease. The next Year 6 will have a hard time beating this production.

Summer Circus Fun

The PTA and Mrs Petrozzi, organised a circus themed fun day for the pupils of Orchard Primary School on Friday 15th July. The circus came to town in the afternoon!

Pupils were shown how to juggle, spin plates and of course how to be a clown. After the circus fun, it was time for traditional summer fete fun. The ice cream man, a barbeque, face painting and the bottle tombola were all popular as well as other stalls. Let's hope that we managed to raise plenty of money for our funds.

Ex-Orchard Pupils

Some of Orchard's pupils started Cleeve Park Secondary School in September 2015. I am pleased to annouce that they not only settle in with the transition but they also continue to make us feel very proud of them.

A selection recieved awards for various subjects for their year group. Saruniya achieved an award in Art, Alfie.C School Council Rep, Ben Boy Sportsman of the Year, Louise Girl Sportswoman of the Year and Frankie.W recieved a certificate for Music.

Congratulations to all and continue with your success at Cleeve Park.

Nursery & Reception Rhyme Challenge

Nursery & Reception have been very busy practising nursery rhymes all week. Today, they got to show their grown-ups how clever they are. It was Nursery vs Reception in a battle of the rhymes and both sides were pretty impressive. Remembering to use loud clear voices and of course remembering the words, they stepped up onto the stage and delivered an exciting rendition of classic rhymes as well as more modern. Each pupil received a certificate for their achievement.
