Reception Parents Stay for Lunch

Our Reception pupils joined us on Wednesday 7th September and they have been remarkable with their transition to big school.

On Monday 12th, they all stayed to have school dinner in the hall with the other pupils and have proved all week that they are very independent and certainly ready to take on any challenges.

As part of the settling in process, we like to include parents in these stages of their children's progress. So, Reception pupil's invited their parents to come and have school dinner with them and show how big they are now.

Well done Reception!

Roald Dahl Day

Mrs Foy arranged for Orchard to take part in celebrating 100 years since the birth of Roald Dahl, born 1916.

Pupils and staff were invited to dress up as a character from one of Dahl's stories.

The fact that the day turned out to be incredibly hot, did not deter anyone from coming to school in various costumes.
